After nearly two years of development, Rapp Bomek has completed and passed intrusion and fire tests for the RC6 high-security door. They are now launching the new RC6 with EI2120 fire performance.
The security class RC6 is the highest classification in European and Norwegian standards for doors. It has undergone highly demanding test environments and methods during this period. "The door is designed to protect objects of extra-central importance within defense facilities, critical infrastructure, and public administration. Our extensive experience and skilled development environment in security and fire products have been crucial for the success of the project," says CEO Kurt Kristoffersen. R&D Manager Eivind Seljenes Pedersen states that it has been challenging but exciting, expressing satisfaction with landing a unique security product. "It's always exciting when new products enter the test laboratories. Even though we have tried to anticipate everything, there are usually surprises. The RC6 door stood well over 120 minutes in the fire test, allowing us to scale this up to very large sizes," adds Eivind. This is just a continuation of our commitment to security that Rapp has played a significant part in. We look forward to expanding the product line with even more advanced features, including explosion protection, bullet resistance, and EMS security. "We are very pleased with the results! It stands as a solid proof of our expertise and commitment within the team. Rapp Bomek has a skilled team that truly understands their field and delivers more than expected. Having our headquarters in Bodø and being able to deliver highly classified products both domestically and internationally is an achievement we are very proud of," states Kurt Kristoffersen, CEO.
