In an era characterized by ever-increasing threats and vulnerabilities, securing critical infrastructure is becoming increasingly important. Among the most crucial parts of our common infrastructure are water supply systems. Secure and safe water supply is defined as a fundamental national function (GNF) in the security law, and it is therefore crucial how waterworks assess the threat landscape and how they are secured. Rapp Bomek believes Vestfold Vann is a player that leads the way in terms of how assets can be secured.
"It is exciting and interesting for Rapp Bomek to be able to contribute with security products to waterworks. We have delivered security products - doors/grids to several central waterworks," says Erik Forsaa. Waterworks play a crucial role in delivering safe and reliable drinking water to millions of people. They constitute an essential part of the critical infrastructure that our society depends on to function properly. "However, these facilities are often vulnerable to various threats, including sabotage, cyber attacks, and natural disasters. Therefore, it is of great importance to strengthen the security around these facilities to protect public health and ensure societal continuity," continues Erik Forsaa, head of the Security segment at Rapp Bomek. Leif Riis, who contributes to the development of 'Guidance for securing water supply facilities and against deliberate unwanted actions' for Norwegian Water, emphasizes the importance of using security products that are certified and approved according to international standards for intrusion security. Rapp Bomek is a leading player in securing critical infrastructure, and the products are known for their high quality and reliability. |
