FAQ - Rapp Bomek
Products
What is a fire door, and when is it required?
A fire door is a certified door designed to withstand fire for a defined period – typically 30 to 120 minutes. It is required in buildings where regulations mandate fire-separating constructions, such as offshore installations, industrial facilities, and public buildings.
What is the difference between a fire door and a blast door?
A fire door is tested against heat and flames. A blast door is engineered to withstand pressure waves from explosions, and is used in high-risk environments such as offshore platforms, petrochemical plants, and defence installations. Read more about certfications here
