Johan Sverdrup

Johan Sverdrup field is located only 155 km west from Stavanger and it is one of the five biggest oil fields on the Norwegian continental shelf. With expected resources of between 1.7 – 3.0 billion barrels of oil equivalent, it will also be one of the most important industrial projects in Norway over the next 50 years. The operation starts in 4. Quarter 2019.

Rapp Bomek and Statoil in 2015 signed a frame agreement for supply of external and internal fire rated doors to the Johan Sverdrup field development. 

During the first phase Rapp Bomek delivered approximately 260 doors to four different platforms: the living quarter, the riser, the drilling and the process platform. The delivered products were fire rated hinged and sliding doors made of stainless steel that are pneumatic and manually operated. The installation of the doors during construction was supervised by Rapp Bomek’s field service engineers.

The production of the fire resistant doors started in 2016 and the last cargo left our production facilities in February 2018.
