Rapp Bomek has secured a strategically important contract with Aker Solutions for the delivery and installation of doors for the Draugen Power from Shore. This project is related to the electrification of the Draugen oil and gas field off the coast of Kristiansund. The operator is OKEA ASA, and Aker Solutions is responsible for the development. "We are very pleased to have been entrusted with this important project related to the electrification of the Norwegian continental shelf," says Steinar Nordheim, Sales Manager for Energy at Rapp Bomek. Draugen is located in the southern part of the Norwegian Sea with 250 meters depth. The field is developed with a fixed concrete installation with an integrated deck, and it has both platform and subsea wells. Production started in 1993.
